Choose a collection, enter the place or the moment you want to keep, then personalise your creation online: palette, size, text. Creating is free and needs no account.

What collections do you offer?

Two are open today, a third is arriving, and others will follow. Maps · Collection 01 : The portrait of a place: the map of a city, a neighbourhood, a shoreline, drawn in the palette you choose. Sky · Collection 02 : The sky of one moment: the stars as they stood above a place, at one precise date and hour: a birth, a meeting, one particular evening. Zodiac · Collection 03 : The constellation of a sign: one birth date is enough, the sign follows from it, and its figure is drawn on the real sky around it.

Can I choose any place, any date?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The search covers the whole world, from a capital to a hamlet. For the Sky collection, any date works, past or future: the sky is calculated.

Can I show a route?

Accepted Answer

Yes, in the Maps collection: you can import a GPX track, whether it is a race, a hike or a journey, and the piece carries it.

What if my text does not fit?

Accepted Answer

Every text panel has a comfortable length: beyond it, shorten rather than force. The preview is what counts: what you see on screen is exactly what prints. Read your names and dates again before ordering, as they are reproduced exactly as written.

The editor is not working properly for me?

Accepted Answer

Make sure your browser is up to date and your connection stable, as the editor calculates a great deal. If the problem persists, write to us describing what happens and which device you are using: we reply within two working days.

What editions do you offer?

Accepted Answer

Three, depending on what you want to do with your piece. The edition to share : The file of your piece, for screens and social media. It is free: an account, created without a password, is all it takes to download. It carries our discreet watermark. You can buy it without. The high resolution file : Your piece at 300 DPI, calibrated for print and free of any watermark. For the printer of your choice. The printed edition : Your piece printed on the material and in the size you choose, then delivered to your door.

Do I need an account?

Not to compose: the editor is open to everyone. An account is asked for only when you take a piece with you. It takes seconds to create, with no password: a code received by email is enough, when you create it and every time you come back.

Can I print my creation myself?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The high resolution file is made for it: 300 DPI, no watermark, in the proportions of the size you chose. You hand it to the printer of your choice.

Why does the edition to share carry a watermark?

Accepted Answer

It is the signature of our free files: discreet, set on the diagonal. It disappears the moment the piece is bought, on the high resolution file as on the printed edition.

Where do I find my pieces again?

Accepted Answer

In the gallery of your account. A piece is filed there when you click “Save” or when you order it, never without you. You can reopen it in the editor at any time to take it further.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

The major payment cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), through Stripe. Depending on your country and your device, Apple Pay and Google Pay may also be offered. No card details ever pass through our servers.

Which currency will I pay in?

Accepted Answer

In the currency of your delivery zone: euros for Europe, pounds for the United Kingdom, dollars for the United States and Canada, Australian dollars for Australia. The exact amount is shown to you before any payment.

Are taxes included?

In Europe, the United Kingdom and Australia, the displayed prices include them. In the United States and Canada, any applicable local taxes are added at payment, as is customary in those markets.

Is delivery really free?

Yes, on every printed edition, in every country we deliver to.

Can you deliver straight to the person I am giving it to?

Yes: simply enter their address at checkout. No price appears in the parcel, and your receipt is emailed to you alone.

A few pairings that come up often; the rest is yours. A birth : The sky of the Sky collection, as it stood above the place, at the exact hour. A meeting, a wedding : The sky of that evening, or the map of the place where it all began. A first home, a departure : The map of the Maps collection: the neighbourhood, the city, the shoreline you do not want to forget. A journey, a challenge met : The map carrying the route: a GPX track is all it takes to put it there.

Can I give without choosing for them?

We do not have a gift card yet. The finest way around it is to compose the piece with the person: the editor is free, and the moment is part of the gift.

Will it arrive in time?

Allow 1 to 4 working days for making, up to 7 for frames and canvases, then 1 to 6 working days in transit: for a fixed date, order around ten days ahead. And if the parcel keeps you waiting, the file of the piece is emailed to you as soon as you order: enough to announce the gift on the day, without revealing anything before.

Do you deliver to my country?

We deliver to 29 countries: most of the European Union (25 countries), the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada and Australia. If yours is not there yet, write to us: the zones will grow.

Where is my order shipped from?

Accepted Answer

From the workshop nearest you: your piece is printed on demand in an international network of workshops. A European order is made in Europe, an American order in the United States, and so on.

Will I pay customs charges?

Accepted Answer

As a rule, no: making your piece as close to you as possible is precisely what avoids it. If you were charged all the same, write to us with the paperwork: every case is looked at, and we will see together what can be done.

How long does it take?

Allow 1 to 4 working days for making, up to 7 for hand-assembled frames and canvases, then 1 to 6 working days in transit with standard delivery. Digital editions are available immediately: the file of your piece is emailed to you as soon as you order.

How do I track my order?

An email tells you when it ships, with a tracking link when the carrier provides one. In the first few days that tracking can stay silent: the parcel is moving all the same, and scans sometimes appear only along the way.

How is the piece packed?

In plain cardboard packaging: flat for small sizes, rolled in a rigid tube for large ones; frames and canvases travel in reinforced packaging made for them.

Can I change or correct my order?

Write to us right away: printing on demand starts quickly. As long as making has not begun, we correct what needs correcting: an address, a line of text. After that, unfortunately, it is no longer possible.

Can I cancel my order?

The same applies: write to us without waiting. Before making begins, we cancel and refund in full; once the piece is being printed, cancelling is no longer possible.

My order arrived damaged, or has a defect?

Write to us within 30 days with photographs: we reprint and reship at our expense, or refund you, whichever you prefer. There is no need to send anything back.

Do you accept returns?

As every piece is made for you, to your own composition, the right of withdrawal does not apply to personalised orders: that is the legal framework common to made-to-order work. It does not stop us being accommodating: if there is a problem, write to us, we always look for a solution.

I left a mistake in my text, and it is printed.

The piece is reproduced exactly as you composed it, and the preview is what counts: this is why we invite you to read names and dates again before ordering. Write to us all the same: if making has not begun, we correct it; if it has, we will see together what is possible.

What materials do you offer?

Four, from the barest to the most dressed. Matte fine art paper : A 200 gsm art paper with a deep matte finish: the bare print, to frame as you please. Wooden hangers : The print suspended between two wooden hangers, ready to hang, in the spirit of studio posters. The classic frame : The print mounted under acrylic glass in a slim frame, assembled by hand, delivered ready to hang. Framed canvas : The piece printed on canvas, stretched over a wooden stretcher bar and set in a frame: a gallery presence.

What sizes do you offer?

From 21 × 29.7 cm to 84.1 × 118.9 cm, that is A4 to A0, portrait or landscape depending on the material. Every size is shown with its price in the editor.

Which inks and which paper do you use?

Accepted Answer

Water-based pigment inks, on papers from sustainably managed forests. This is the giclée printing of art editions: deep colours, made to last.

Do you print your logo on the pieces?

Accepted Answer

No, never. A printed piece carries nothing but your own composition. The watermark exists only on free files to share, and disappears on purchase.

Will the colours match my screen?

Very close, never strictly identical: a screen emits light, a paper receives ink. Our palettes are calibrated for print; slight shifts in shade are normal and are not a defect.

Are your materials responsible?

Yes, and without any flattering label: water-based inks, papers from sustainably managed forests, no animal-derived products, and cardboard packaging. These are the four commitments our workshop confirms to us, and we display nothing it does not guarantee.

Where does the data behind the maps and skies come from?

Accepted Answer

The maps are generated from geographic and astronomical data drawn from specialist sources, so that they represent the chosen place or moment faithfully. Map data comes from OpenStreetMap, available under the ODbL licence, openstreetmap.org/copyright. The astronomical data of the Sky and Zodiac collections comes from the HYG catalogue (CC BY-SA 4.0); the constellation lines of Sky, from d3-celestial (© Olaf Frohn). The twelve zodiac figures and their symbols are drawn by Emoria: they belong to us, and to us alone.

Where is Emoria? Do you have a shop?

Emoria is an online house, run by a British company registered in London. There is no shop to visit: everything is created here, and everything is delivered to you.

What about the environment?

Printing on demand is our first answer: nothing is printed that has not been ordered, and there is neither stock nor unsold goods. Making your piece as close to you as possible cuts the transport. To that add water-based inks, papers from sustainable forests, cardboard packaging, and no animal-derived products.

Why does printing on demand waste less?

Because nothing exists before your order. A conventional shop prints in batches, stores, then destroys what does not sell; here, every piece comes into being because someone wanted it: no unsold stock, no warehouse. And because it is made in a workshop near you, it does not cross an ocean to reach you.
