Is it free to create?
Yes. You can compose your piece free of charge, without an account, and see how it looks before choosing an edition.
What editions do you offer?
Three, depending on what you want to do with your piece.
- The edition to shareThe file of your piece, for screens and social media. It is free: an account, created without a password, is all it takes to download. It carries our discreet watermark, and you can buy it without.
- The high resolution fileYour piece at 300 DPI, calibrated for print and free of any watermark. For the printer of your choice.
- The printed editionYour piece printed on the material and in the size you choose, then delivered to your door.
Can I see my creation before I order?
Yes. Your piece is on screen before any order is placed.
Where does the data behind the maps come from?
The maps are generated from geographic and astronomical data drawn from specialist sources, so that they represent the chosen place or moment faithfully.
Map data comes from OpenStreetMap, available under the ODbL licence, openstreetmap.org/copyright. The astronomical data of the Sky collection comes from the HYG catalogue (CC BY-SA 4.0) and from d3-celestial (© Olaf Frohn).
