An anniversary of the day you met, a first year of marriage, a first flat together. These are dates people celebrate without ever knowing what to give.
And yet there is an address, and a night, that only the two of you know. That is what goes on the wall.
The place, or the sky of that night
A meeting has an address and an hour. You can give one, the other, or both hung side by side.
The place
The map of the spot: a bar, a street, a beach, a university corridor. Framed on the neighbourhood, the street is recognisable, and whoever opens it knows exactly where to look.
The sky
The stars as they stood above that spot, that night. They are not decorative: they are calculated from an astronomical catalogue, at the exact position they held.
Both
Two pieces in the same palette, framed alike, hung next to each other. One says where, the other says when. It is a gift you only give once.
Which date, which address
It is the only real question on this page, and it takes two minutes to settle.
The first evening
The obvious one, and often the right one. If the exact date is disputed, take the one you both talk about: that is the one you will reread.
Your first home together
The flat where you put the boxes down. An address you may well leave, and are glad to have kept somewhere.
The day of the yes
For a first anniversary, the map of the register office or the reception, on the exact date. The paper anniversary earns its name.
If you have lost the hour
The sky moves in a few hours, and nobody ever remembers the time. Take the end of the evening: that is the sky you would have walked out under.
Two names, one date
It is the line that turns a fine map into your map.

On a single line, parted by a dot or an ampersand. Without them the piece is handsome; with them it is yours.

“14 June 2019” reads better than “14/06/2019” under a frame. You also choose the language the date is written in.

Something one of you always says, a place only the two of you call by that name. Three words are enough, and they are the ones that get reread.

The first wall you choose as two. It is often the first thing to go up.

Allow 1 to 4 working days for making, up to 7 for hand-assembled frames and canvases, then 1 to 6 working days in transit. For a fixed date, order around ten days ahead.
And if you have left it late: the file of the piece is emailed to you as soon as you order. Enough to show the gift that evening, and let the frame arrive afterwards.
You can also have it delivered straight to them. No price appears in the parcel, and the receipt goes to you alone.
